There are somethings with which you share an uncanny fascination.....one such thing for me is the legendary car Maruti 800 deluxe.....my fantasy car from ages.....
I dont have a list of reasons or performance certificates to prove my fantasy with this car....just that I love the car irrespective of everything.....in fact if i ever buy a car it would be a M8D as I lovingly call it.....
However there are a few reasons why I love this car:
Compact, Affordable (recession hit...hehehe), Simple and Manoueverable - makes it the best choice.....
In an age where people dream of updating their cars every other year, I could be called conservative with my choice of M8D....but its simplicity is the greatest attraction for me....call me a hundred foolish names but one would also equally agree on the best performance results of the car and why it has remained the common man's last refuge.....add to it the easy maintainability.....perfect concoction of a masterpiece innovation that took place years back but still doesn't cease to astound me.....
Cars are made not just to transport you to places, but they also translate a prestige value ot the person...thats why people hanker to own a Merc or BMW...but for me....I hanker and wait to lay my hands on my dream machine.....the M8D...nothing beats it.....

Maruti 800 was more than a car. It was a luxury and a moderate middle-class aspiration. Those were the day when the faithful Fiat, the bureaucrat's lovely ambi and our maruti made for wonderful four-wheeler dreams....Good article!!
